Fiddle solo, unknown piano player and label. This was recorded while Murphy lived in New York City in the 50s. Ceol Rince na Eireann Vol 5 has a different Mount Collins Reel, transcribed from Murphy's playing. Likewise there are various Doon reels; this tune however is called by its title from O'Neill's, (Jim) Kennedy's Favorite, which was also a favorite of Murphy's; he also recorded the tune on a Gael-Linn 78, which may be heard on the CD Milestone at the Garden.
The hole for this disc was unfortunately punched slightly off-center, resulting in a wobble which becomes progressively worse as the needle advances.
